This lecture, given at Maternal Heart of Mary in Sydney on April 6, 2019, lays out the historical, scriptural, dogmatic, and anthropological case for worshiping eastwards or “ad orientem,” as well as the case against “versus populum” as a profound aberration and solvent of the liturgical spirit.
