The ‘Reading Aloud’ suggestion made me recall my mother reading Winnie the Pooh, Little House on the Prairie, and G.A. Henty books to us kids growing up. Not only a fond memory, but it has shaped how I experience books today, my teaching style towards my high school students, and my prayer life. May people continue reading aloud and experiencing stories in groups forevermore!
I love all the specific suggestions, Julian — thank you! I’ll also plug my friend Benjamin Bloomfield’s collection of traditional Advent and Christmas carols, which can be downloaded for free or ordered book- or spiral-bound: https://acollectionofchristmascarols.com/
All of this is much like my sons' experience at Thomas More College in New Hampshire. Excellent, sane, joy-filled suggestions.
Excellent!

Where do you teach?
This is a small aside from the lovely article, but I love that the audio for the article is a real human voice and not AI!
Thanks! No AI on this blog. It's neither traditional nor sane!
I completely agree, although I am regularly surprised by who disagrees!
I imagine the festive season generates the odd boxing match for sure. 😎
Loved it all!

That looks like a wonderful collection. Thanks for linking!
Fight Night on the 21st?
Reactionary-minded and excellent.
