In this talk, I explore one of the most important aspects of the traditional Latin Mass: the dominance and power of “non-verbal language.” I look at "visual orientation" and "sonic orientation," the plethora of symbols and their controlled open-endedness, and the consistency between what one sees and what one is asked to believe.
